What does an outsourced HR compliance audit actually involve?
We review your contracts, policies, working time records and right-to-work files against current UK employment law. You receive a written report with findings ranked by risk, so you know which gaps need attention first.
How long does an audit usually take from start to finish?
Most small and medium employers are reviewed within two to three weeks. The timeline depends on how quickly you can send your documents, and on the size of your workforce.
Do you need to visit our premises in person?
No. The audit is carried out remotely. We work from documents you share securely, and hold meetings by video or telephone at times that suit your team.
Which employment law areas do you cover in the review?
We cover written particulars, holiday and working time, pay documentation, right-to-work checks, family leave policies and the core disciplinary and grievance procedures set out in the Acas code.
Is our documentation kept confidential during the audit?
Yes. Documents are held securely, seen only by the reviewer assigned to your audit, and deleted or returned once the engagement ends. We can sign a non-disclosure agreement if you prefer.
What happens after we receive the audit report?
You decide what to act on. We can talk you through the findings, and if you want help drafting revised documents or introducing new procedures, that is a separate piece of work we can quote for.
